Come on out and join the Friends as we explore the natural world that surrounds us! Choose from 3 different camp programs that focus on providing campers the opportunity to create connections to the environment.

Winter Nature Day Camp

Camp is held over February school vacation at beautiful Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop. Two (2) day sessions from 9-3 each day are available for children in grades 3rd-5th for only $90 per participant. Limited scholarships are available. Campers will explore the winter landscape, experience snowshoeing, ice fishing and learn the basics of tracking all within two days! Spring Nature Day Camp

This great camp is held over April school vacation on the beautiful grounds of the YMCA camp in East Winthrop. Two (2) day sessions from 9-3 each day are available for children in grades 3rd-5th for $90 per participant. Limited scholarships are available. Campers will have fun outdoors, meet new kids, play nature games, and learn the basics of fishing and more all within two days! Summer Nature Day Camp

Choose from 2 separate week long sessions of Summer Nature Day Camp each year! Children entering 4th-6th grade enjoy 5 days of outdoor adventures from 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday. Healthy afternoon snack and lunch are included with registration. Campers will explore pond, stream, and forest habitats, enjoy hiking and swimming, play nature based games and climb aboard the Friends 22' pontoon boat for a special session of Tadpole Patrol! This weeklong camp is $230 for 40 hours of non-stop nature exploration! Limited scholarships are available.
