Friends on the 4th 5K

"Friends on the Fourth" 5k!

This year's race, despite the precipitation, attracted 543 registrations... another great turnout for this fun-filled event!  A HUGE thank you to all of the runners and walkers, the 40+ volunteers, the business sponsors, the Winthrop American Legion for providing the location for our "base camp" and our fearless volunteer Race Director, Bob Moore! One and all have contributed to make the "Friends on the Fourth" 5K the biggest (and most fun!) race in central Maine!

2014 overall winner was Briar Beede of Augusta with a time of 15:54.3.  First Place Female title went to Molly Carl of York at 19:09.7
