Who we are

The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed is a 501©(3) nonprofit located in Winthrop, Maine. The Friends focus on community engagement, conservation, and education to protect the lakes, ponds, and streams in the Cobbossee Watershed.

What we do

Since 2001, the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed has been engaging our communities, educating our youth, and protecting the waters of the Cobbossee Watershed, a 217-square-mile drainage basin in the Kennebec Valley region of Maine.

The Friends Staff is six people strong with over 40 employees joining us during the summer months to help protect the Cobbossee Watershed.
